An investor purchased a stock at $50. When the stock dropped to $40 she initiated the repair strategy by purchasing the 40 calls and writing the 45 calls. Shiny Shuckle?

GacktCamui asked:
I’m working on a second legit team on Pokemon Pearl. I think I have a lethal strategy going for Shuckle so I was hoping to get my hands on a shiny one.
I’m willing to trade whatever you want for a shiny Shuckle so long as it knows the move Power Trick if it’s level 48+ (if it’s a lower level, don’t worry about it).
I haven’t traded before so if I need a friend code or anything I’ll get right on that. If you’re interested, leave your e-mail and I’ll send my friend code later. Also include your request for trade.
Thanks~

I want to get your opinion about how I can quit my job asap. I read the book “Rich Dad Poor Dad” long time ago and agree that the way to have freedom is to have tangible assets working for you.
I am a stock broker (Investment Advisor) in Canada and am pretty happy about my job. The problem is income would stop if I am not in my office. I want to be away from work and still make money.
I think one of the ways is to start my own Asset Management Company. This way I can generate funds that could pay me money even if I am not there to manage it.
What do you think? Do you have similar thoughts? Do you know where I can get a blue print/business plan of an Asset Management company?
Barriers:
I have a market neutral trading strategy that works already. The problem is I need to be a licensed portfolio manager to start an Asset Management Company in Canada. I need the securities commission to approve my trading strategy and I need initial start up fund to start it. I think I am looking at around 3 million USD for start up fund.
Sorry for not being clear. I am looking to raise 3 million for operation. I’d like to raise at least 50 million for the first fund.
Some of my friends ask me to audit my trades first. Hire an experienced management team with my own capital and then look for angel investors.

Do you have to purchase stocks on margin to be considered a Pattern Day Trader by the NYSE?
Filed Under Investing | 2 Comments
I’m a small investor, a very small investor. I have devised a range trading strategy which only requires two trades per day. My initial investment will be $500, through a cut rate online brokerage. I understand that the NYSE and the NASD, require a minimum of $25000 in the accounts of “pattern day traders”. However the reason as I understand it, is to protect banks from losses on margin loans. I don’t intend to buy on margin. So does this regulation apply to me? Thanks.

The evolution of morality: Atheistic vs Theistic?
Filed Under Best Trading Strategies | Leave a Comment
Torrry asked:
Where do you get your morality? I believe morals are just mechanisms of survival and evolution. If we didn’t have natural ethics-outside of religion, we would have raped, killed and pillaged ourselselves to extinction. We could have never evolved to the hunter gather stage of existence if there were not a prohibition against lying and stealing because no one would have assurances for a share in the kill or for strategy for a hunt. We could’nt have evolved anything approching commerce/ trade.
Even marriage/pair bonding gives an evolutionary advantage to offspring. Today we can see the effects of single parent homes where statistically children are more like to be in povery, have limited educational access, and a higher mortality rate.
People existed long before Christianity/ any other organized religion. How do you think they survived without morals. I think what we call morality/ethics is natural. Personally, being godless, doesn’t cause me to be inclined to be immoral.
Capnarlo: You stated: abortion up, divorce up, un wed mothers up, drug use up. STD’s up, homosexuality up, child molestation up, murder up. **** up, violent crime up. ******* up. …basically all social ills up. Test scores down, graduates from high school down, marriage down, health down, church attendance down…
My Dear where church attedance is highest so are the societal ills. Its a fact. Homosexuality and in some cases unwed motherhood are not societal ills. Plus, abortion rates are down in the US, and atheists have a lower divorce rate than non-Catholic Christians.
But none of these facts address the evolution of ethics which existed at the wellspring of humankind. Please open your mind and read and learn knowlege outside of your bible.

Hello,
I am new investor and am planning on starting to invest in stocks. I have an example which I would like you to help me understand if this is the right procedure.
Assume I have 10,000 dollars and I use the principal (in total) to buy GOOG stocks for 500$ per share. I will have 20 shares at the end of the day in my porfolio. On the same day, if I GOOG jumps from 500$ to 555.55$ and I sell 18 shares at that price. So now I have at the end of the day my 10000 dollars back and also 2 shares in GOOG.
My questions are as follows
1. During tax declaration, should these 2 shares in GOOG be taxable income?
2. Is the above procedure a good way to buy stocks for long term, by short term trading?
Please let me know.
Thanks.
Sai
